Singapore Environmental Achievement Awards 2026
The 27th Singapore Environmental Achievement Awards, organised by the Singapore Environment Council in 2026, recognised organisations and a community leader across environmental management, advocacy, innovation and related categories.
Singapore Environmental Achievement Awards 2026
The Singapore Environmental Achievement Awards (SEAA) are organised by the Singapore Environment Council (SEC) to recognise organisations and people demonstrating environmental leadership and sustainability practice. The 27th edition took place on 26 August 2026; the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment described the award recipients as examples of organisations that set goals, act on them, measure progress and bring others along (MSE, 27th Singapore Environmental Achievement Awards, 26 August 2026). The awards are recognition and benchmarking, not a regulatory licence, environmental-compliance certification or government grant.
2026 recipients and categories
The SEC Hall of Fame records 2026 recipients in the Outstanding Environmental Achievement Award, Community Leader Environmental Recognition, Systems & Management, Leadership & Advocacy, Innovation & Design, Green Spirit Award and Certificate of Environmental Commitment categories. The listed recipients include organisations such as OOCL, OCBC, REDUX SG, Mediacorp, FedEx, Singapore LNG Corporation and Singapore Island Country Club, together with community leader Tiew Chew Meng; the Hall of Fame is the source for the full category-by-category list (SEC, SEAA Hall of Fame, accessed 29 August 2026). Receiving an award does not establish that an organisation is Singapore’s single “greenest” organisation or that its practices transfer automatically to every company.
What the categories assess
The category framework separates different dimensions of environmental performance. Systems & Management covers management systems and processes for material environmental, social and governance risks; Leadership & Advocacy covers board and senior-management commitment and external engagement; and Innovation & Design covers initiatives and practices intended to improve sustainability performance through creativity, life-cycle thinking or technology (SEC, SEAA Award Categories, accessed 29 August 2026). The categories therefore recognise different kinds of organisational work rather than ranking all applicants on a single operational metric.
Place in Singapore’s sustainability system
SEAA sits within Singapore’s wider public-private sustainability ecosystem. MSE’s 2026 speech links business sustainability practice to climate adaptation, resource efficiency and credible ecolabelling, while describing the awards as a way to recognise organisations that are preparing for longer-term environmental and business risks (MSE, 27th Singapore Environmental Achievement Awards, 26 August 2026). The awards complement instruments such as the Green Plan 2030 and sectoral grants or standards; they do not replace statutory environmental requirements, establish a universal sustainability score, or prove that an award recipient has completed every national climate objective.
