Singapore's energy and chemicals manufacturing cluster is anchored on Jurong Island, contributing about 3% of GDP and roughly one quarter of manufacturing output as of 2024, with EDB and JTC promoting an integrated refining, petrochemicals, and specialty-chemicals hub under NEA and carbon-pricing rules.
