Farm-to-Table Recognition Programme

The Farm-to-Table Recognition Programme (FTTRP) is a Singapore Food Agency (SFA) recognition scheme for food businesses in the HoReCa sector — hotels, restaurants and caterers — that support local produce. It is a voluntary recognition and publicity programme, not a food-safety licence, procurement mandate or grant. Canteens and bars can also apply when they meet the eligibility requirements (SFA, FTTRP, accessed 29 August 2026).

Produce categories and recognition tiers

An applicant must procure at least 15% of local produce in at least one of six SFA-recognised categories: hen shell eggs, leafy vegetables, beansprouts, fish, mushrooms and quail eggs. The percentage is assessed within the relevant category rather than being a claim that 15% of every ingredient or the whole menu is locally produced (SFA, FTTRP, accessed 29 August 2026). The base tier covers at least one category, the mid tier at least two, and the highest tier at least three. The tiers therefore describe the number of qualifying categories sourced locally, not a ranking of restaurants or a percentage above 15%.

Who can apply and what must be shown

The applying business should be an existing HoReCa business with a valid Unique Entity Number issued by ACRA. The establishment or outlet must hold a valid SFA Food Shop Licence, Food Stall Licence or Food Manufacturing Licence. A parent company may apply where ingredients are centrally procured, and recognised parent companies may display the logo at appropriate outlets (SFA, FTTRP, accessed 29 August 2026). Applicants must be able to show the procurement calculation with invoices: SFA requires at least one month of invoices and a summary sheet, with invoices dated within six months of the application. Local-produce invoices must identify the local farm; imported-produce invoices must identify the importer and country of origin.

Recognition, logo use and limits

Applications are valid for two years. During that period, SFA may conduct random audits, and businesses must submit draft artwork or materials bearing the FTTRP logo for approval before printing or use (SFA, FTTRP, accessed 29 August 2026). Recognition can provide listing on SFA's public registry, publicity through SFA and programme partners, and participation in consumer campaigns; it does not certify that every dish is local. FTTRP is also distinct from the SG Fresh Produce logos, which SFA introduced in February 2022 for identifying local produce and its quality-assurance tiers on packaging and marketing materials (SFA, SGFP logos, accessed 29 August 2026).
