Singapore Professional Services Centre
Singapore's Professional Services Centre is an ISCA-led platform launched in July 2026 to connect professional-services bodies and businesses, support cross-border expansion and anchor a growing international PS Centre network.
Singapore Professional Services Centre
The Singapore Professional Services Centre (PS Centre) was launched on 21 July 2026 as Singapore’s first PS Centre and the anchor hub of a growing international network. The Ministry of Finance described it as an initiative of the Singapore Accountancy sector and PS Centre Alliance to connect professional-services providers, support businesses expanding across borders and strengthen Singapore’s position as a trusted professional-services hub. It is a business-support and collaboration platform, not a new professional regulator or a replacement for legal, accounting, tax or licensing authorities (MOF, 21 July 2026).
Network and business-support role
The PS Centre network brings together professional bodies and business organisations so companies can access more integrated advice when entering unfamiliar markets. The services described by MOF include business, corporate and financial advisory, tax structuring, compliance, dispute resolution, business set-up guidance, connections to local agencies and help identifying talent. Singapore is the anchor hub alongside overseas centres in Shanghai, Ho Chi Minh City and Nanjing; the network is intended to serve both Singapore-based businesses expanding abroad and foreign firms considering Singapore. Over the first six months of the three overseas nodes, MOF reported 65 connections between Singaporean and international businesses, alongside separate visitor and corporate-member counts (MOF, 21 July 2026).
What the reported network activity means
The MOF figures describe activity across the three overseas nodes during their first six months, rather than a guaranteed level of service for every company or a measure of the Singapore centre alone. Those nodes served over 700 visitors, attracted over 100 corporate members and facilitated over 65 connections between Singaporean and international businesses during that period. MOF gave Unity Assurance, a Singapore-based audit and advisory firm, as an example: through the Shanghai PS Centre it established a joint venture with Jiangsu Welsen, a China-based firm seeking a Singapore partner. These results illustrate the network’s intended brokering and relationship-building role; they do not establish that every introduction becomes a contract, joint venture or successful market entry (MOF, 21 July 2026).
Collaboration and AI capability
The Singapore PS Centre reflects closer collaboration between professional disciplines, including the partnership between the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and the Law Society of Singapore. MOF also linked the centre’s future-facing role to AI-enabled professional services and cited the AIxAccountancy programme as a separate effort to build AI capabilities among accounting and finance professionals. The speech also places this alongside TeSA support for non-tech workers to become AI-bilingual and planned tailored AI Fluency support for other professions, including law. The PS Centre therefore should not be treated as a single course, an automatic grant, a statutory membership requirement or a substitute for the duties and standards imposed by existing professional laws and regulators (MOF, 21 July 2026).
