Integrated Digital Delivery Technology Alliance
JTC's Integrated Digital Delivery Technology Alliance (IDDTA) pre-certifies digital construction technology for JTC projects, connects approved solutions to JTC's Connected Data Environment, and provides a dated marketplace of certified solutions across four construction use cases.
Integrated Digital Delivery Technology Alliance
The Integrated Digital Delivery Technology Alliance (IDDTA) is JTC's programme to pre-certify digital construction technology for use on JTC projects. JTC describes the alliance as a curated marketplace of digital solutions endorsed by JTC that can connect to OPTIMUS, its Connected Data Environment for information sharing across project teams from design through completion. For construction companies, the pathway is intended to reduce time and cost associated with evaluating solutions; for technology start-ups, IDDTA certification can serve as a quality signal to prospective customers (JTC, 17 July 2026).
Certification scope and current listings
JTC's certified-solutions page lists 12 solutions across four use cases as rechecked on 11 September 2026: digital precast and logistics tracking; at-grade reality capture; aerial reality capture for site-wide progress and survey monitoring; and aerial reality capture for quality and defect inspection. The count is a dated page listing, not a permanent programme capacity or a guarantee that every listed solution is suitable for every project. JTC states that each certificate is valid for two years from the award date, after which the solution is reviewed (JTC, certified solutions and contacts, updated 9 September 2026).
What the four use cases mean
The listing describes digital precast and logistics tracking as covering production tracking, delivery and on-site installation monitoring of precast components from shop-drawing approval through sign-off. At-grade reality capture uses 360-degree ground-level capture for progress documentation, quality inspection and safety monitoring. Aerial reality capture for site-wide progress and survey monitoring uses drone-based, survey-grade capture for wide-area progress tracking, earthwork measurement and safety oversight. The separate aerial quality-and-defect use case uses close-range, high-resolution drone capture to identify building-element defects and manage issues through resolution. These descriptions explain the assessed use-case boundary; certification for one category is not a general endorsement for every application of the same vendor or technology (JTC, certified solutions and contacts, updated 9 September 2026).
What certification does and does not mean
IDDTA certification indicates that a listed solution has been assessed against JTC's digital and integration standards for its associated use case. It is not a universal construction licence, a grant award, or an assurance that a company will win a JTC contract. A user should check the listed use case, solution details, certificate date, contact information and current JTC conditions before relying on a listing (JTC, certified solutions and contacts).
Place in Built Environment innovation policy
JTC introduced the first batch of IDDTA digital solutions in a wider July 2026 package for Built Environment productivity and innovation. The package also included a two-year waiver of space rental fees for technology sandboxes at BCA's Built Environment Innovation Hub, a JTC sandbox for large-scale autonomous construction technologies, and an Innovative Procurement Partnership approach for selected pilot technologies. Those measures are related but separate: IDDTA concerns pre-certification and digital integration, while a sandbox or procurement partnership has its own venue, pilot, safety and contracting conditions (JTC, 17 July 2026).
