Officeholders
Current holders of Singapore's key public offices — President, Prime Minister, Cabinet, Chief Justice, Speaker — plus historical Prime Minister validity intervals. Articles refer to roles and link here rather than naming officeholders inline.
Officeholders
Current holders of Singapore's key public offices. Vault convention: articles outside history/ say "the Prime Minister" or "the Minister for Health" and link [officeholders](/en/knowledge/dataset/sgkb.data.officeholders); names live here. Cabinet list reflects the reshuffle effective 27 July 2026 (PMO, accessed Aug 2026). Historical rows below record public officeholding, not party leadership or later honorary titles.
Historical Prime Ministers
Each row is a Prime Minister role with a validity interval. The PMO publishes month/year boundaries for the later transitions; do not infer an exact day where the source does not state one (PMO Past Prime Ministers, accessed Aug 2026; PMO Goh Chok Tong profile, accessed Aug 2026).
| Role | Holder | Valid from | Valid to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Prime Minister | Lee Kuan Yew | 1959-06-05 | 1990-11-27 |
| Prime Minister | Goh Chok Tong | 1990-11-28 | 2004-08 |
| Prime Minister | Lee Hsien Loong | 2004-08 | 2024-05 |
The historical series answers period questions without treating the current officeholder as timeless: Singapore's Prime Minister in 1995 was Goh Chok Tong, whose PMO profile records that he succeeded Lee Kuan Yew on 28 November 1990 and served until August 2004 (PMO Goh Chok Tong profile, accessed Aug 2026).
