Built Environment Accelerate to Market Programme
Purpose and administrators
The Built Environment Accelerate to Market Programme (BEAMP) is a multi-agency initiative by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), JTC Corporation and Enterprise Singapore. It supports built-environment innovators across solution co-creation, pilot testing, market trials and commercialisation, connecting technology development with industry use rather than treating a pilot as the end point. (BCA, 2 September 2026)
The programme's “accelerate to market” name describes a pathway, not a promise that every proposed technology will reach procurement or commercial scale. BCA's announcement places BEAMP among measures intended to move solutions from testing into actual industry use, with the participating agencies supplying different parts of the ecosystem. A firm reading the announcement should therefore distinguish programme facilitation and industry collaboration from a regulatory licence, a procurement award or a direct cash grant (BCA, 2 September 2026).
Track record and current status
Established in 2019, BEAMP had introduced more than 100 challenge statements and catalysed collaboration between about 80 built-environment firms and innovators across its first six cycles, according to BCA. BCA said on 2 September 2026 that the Government would explore another run to support innovators from co-creation and pilot testing through market trials and commercial deployment; this is an announced exploration, not an open grant call or confirmed award round. (BCA, 2 September 2026)
The figures have different denominators and should not be read as a conversion rate: “more than 100” refers to challenge statements, while “about 80” refers to built-environment firms and innovators involved across six cycles. The announcement does not say that all 80 participants commercialised a solution, nor that every challenge statement produced a deployment. The later reference to another run is also future-oriented; it does not establish that applications were open on 2 September 2026 or that a selection round had been awarded (BCA, 2 September 2026).
Example of the pathway
BCA described a collaboration between Fabrica AI and Woh Hup to co-develop a floor-tile-grouting robot. The later version reportedly achieved up to twice the productivity of the earlier version, with improvements in reliability and user-friendliness, and had been deployed at projects including One Holland Village. The example illustrates the programme's industry-validation pathway; it does not establish that every BEAMP participant will receive the same productivity result or a deployment contract. (BCA, 2 September 2026)
The example is best understood as an outcome that BCA chose to highlight, not as a standard performance guarantee. “Up to twice the productivity” compares the later robot version with the earlier version in that collaboration; it is not a sector-wide average or a guaranteed multiplier for other firms, sites or tasks. Likewise, deployment at named projects shows that this particular collaboration progressed beyond experimentation, but it does not convert BEAMP participation into an automatic route to a project contract (BCA, 2 September 2026).
Boundaries with related support
BEAMP is distinct from the Built Environment Innovation Hub sandbox, which provides a testing and demonstration environment, and from the Robot Leasing Support Scheme, which BCA announced separately to co-fund providers leasing proven robotics to built-environment firms. The 2 September 2026 announcement does not state that another BEAMP run is already accepting applications, that participation is compulsory, or that the programme guarantees commercial adoption. (BCA, 2 September 2026)
These distinctions matter for practical questions. The Innovation Hub sandbox is a place and testing environment; BEAMP is a pathway for co-creation, pilots, market trials and commercialisation; and the Robot Leasing Support Scheme is a separate co-funding route for eligible leasing arrangements. A reader should check the administering agency and current application notice for whichever route is being considered, rather than infer that an announcement about BEAMP opens access to the sandbox or to Robot Leasing Support Scheme funding (BCA, 2 September 2026).
