Multicultural Arts Programme Grant 2026

Singapore's Multicultural Arts Programme (MAP) Grant is funded by President's Challenge and the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), and administered through the National Arts Council (NAC). The grant supports the development and growth of multicultural artistic content and programmes by a wide range of arts practitioners and organisations, with work grounded in Singapore's identity (NAC, accessed 27 August 2026).

What the grant supports

The MAP Grant can support artists deepening their engagement with one cultural tradition while cultivating audiences beyond it, artists learning a cultural tradition outside their existing practice, and works that combine different cultural traditions. NAC describes these forms on a spectrum: distinct-tradition collaboration as multicultural, creative integration as intercultural, and deeper exchange or fusion as transcultural (NAC, accessed 27 August 2026). The labels describe the artistic approach; they do not mean that every project involving more than one culture automatically qualifies.

Two funding categories and 2026–27 timing

The MAP Grant has two categories. Productions supports the creation, production and presentation of quality Singapore-made productions inspired by Singapore's multicultural traditions and identity. Ecosystem Development supports creating, developing or executing programmes that develop Singapore's multicultural arts ecosystem (NAC, accessed 27 August 2026). For the published 2026 cycle, applications open on 15 September 2026, notification is scheduled for 30 December 2026, and the relevant projects take place on or after 1 January 2027. These dates describe the listed application cycle, not a guaranteed award or an always-open grant.
